Nonlinear numerical simulation of physical shaking table test, using three different soil constitutive models

Dynamic response records of pile performance during earthquakes are limited mainly due to the challenges recording seismic soil–pile response. This limitation has led an inadequacy in providing a standardized basis for calibration and validation available analytical numerical methods developed superstructure interaction problems. To bridge this gap, series simulations scaled, shaking table tests model piles soft clay been current study. paper aims accurately identify all aspects critical parameters simulation propose most suitable soil constitutive model. Three models selected as advanced soil, namely, modified Mohr–Coulomb, Drucker–Prager/cap plasticity, Cam–clay models. Similar physical test case study, analysis uses dimensional techniques scale modelling criteria develop scaled pile-supported structure correctly. The 3D nonlinear using Abaqus software.
